Common use of Payment of Back Pay Claims Clause in Contracts

Payment of Back Pay Claims. If the employer fails to give an employee work to which his/her seniority entitles him/her and a written notice of his/her claim is filed within thirty (30) days of the time the employer first failed to give him/her such work, the employer will reimburse him/her for the earnings he/she lost through failure to give him/her such work.
