Common use of Payment of Outgoings Clause in Contracts

Payment of Outgoings. 2.1 To bear pay and discharge and to indemnify the Landlord against all existing and future rates taxes duties charges assessments impositions council tax and expenses and other outgoings and outlays whether exceptional or recurring which now or any time during the Term shall be taxed charged rated assessed or imposed on the Property or any part thereof for the purpose of enabling the same to be used for any particular purpose and whether by the landlord tenant or occupier of the same by authority of any Act of Parliament now in force or hereafter to be passed or otherwise 2.2 To pay the proportion reasonably attributable to the Property (to be determined from time to time by the Landlord’s Surveyor acting as an expert and not as an arbitrator) of all rates taxes assessments duties and outgoings which are now or during the Term shall be charged assessed or imposed upon the Property and any other property including the Estate or upon the owner or occupier of them 2.3 To pay any VAT (or any tax of a similar nature that may be substituted for it or levied in addition to it) chargeable in respect of any payment made by the Tenant under any of the terms of or in connection with this Lease or in respect of any payment made by the Landlord where the Tenant agrees in this Lease to reimburse the Landlord for such payment
