Payment of Rent and Other Charges. 4.1 Payment of rent and other charges is due weekly every Monday in advance. You must pay your rent and any other charges on time. If you prefer, you can pay monthly or at other intervals, as long as you pay in advance. 4.2 In addition to the weekly rent we will charge you any service charges that are due 4.3 You must also pay any rent or other charges you owe us from any previous tenancy with Xxxxxx Keynes Council, in line with the agreement that has been made for repayment. 4.4 If you do not pay your rent, we may take legal action to recover the debt. If we do this we will also apply to the court for you to pay our legal costs and fees. You may be at risk of losing your home. 4.5 If you are joint tenants, you are each responsible for all the rent and for any rent arrears. We can recover all the rent arrears owed for your home from any individual joint tenant. 4.6 We may change the amount of rent we charge you. When we do this, we will give you four weeks notice in writing. Normally rents and other charges will change once a year, on the first Monday in April. 4.7 We may change other charges you pay, including (but not limited to) heating, furniture, and parking. We will give you at least four weeks written notice. We may withdraw, or add and charge for extra services. When we do this, we will consult tenants before making a decision. We will then give you four weeks notice in writing of the new arrangements.
