Payments - Third Party Liability. 16.8.1 If an employee meets with an accident under circumstances entitling him to recover damages from a third party, the Institute, instead of paying benefits under this plan, may authorize payments to such employee to be repaid out of the damages, if any, recovered, by the employee, from the third party.
