When processing the personal data of cardholders whose transaction data the Merchant submits to PayPal, PayPal will, at all times, ensure that the security measures employed in respect of the storage, transmission or any other processing of such personal data:
a. comply with all applicable laws and regulations; and
b. employ industry standard or better encryption and security methods as being appropriate for use by financial institutions.

When processing the personal data (as defined under the ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇) of cardholders whose transaction data Merchant submits to PayPal, PayPal will onlycarryout processing on the instructions of the Merchant, at all times, ensure, or procure that anythird partyprocessing data on our behalf ensures, that the securitymeasures employed in respect of the storage, transmission or anyother processing of such personal data:
a. complywith obligations equivalent to those imposed on the Merchant bythe 1978 Act; and
b. employindustrystandard or better encryption and securitymethods as being appropriate for use byfinancial institutions.
