Permit Engineering Evaluation Report. XXXX will prepare Permit Engineering Evaluation Report (PEER) in accordance with Caltrans Project Development Procedures Manual and Encroachment Permits Manual to document the engineering analysis for the project. The PEER will be prepared using the Caltrans Permit Engineering Evaluation Report form (TR-0112). The PEER will include supporting documentation for the proposed work. The PEER will document the proposed Project’s impacts to traffic operations and maintenance of Caltrans’ facilities, as well as engineering rationale for the proposed Project. KHA has budgeted up to 16 hours of as-needed roundabout consultation and traffic operations services for this task. The PEER will include discussion of the following areas: • Description of Permit Proposal - Project Description - Environmental Compliance (prepared by others) - Right of Way - Project Cost • Impact on Highway Operation and Maintenance - Existing Conditions – Current and Forecast Volumes. The results of the SR-227 Operations Study will be summarized, documenting the existing and forecast deficiency of the corridor and project intersection. The study area will be focused along SR-227 at the intersection with Los Ranchos Road.

A draft PEER will first be submitted to the County and Caltrans for review and comments.
