Personal Discretionary Leave. a. Leave of absence without pay will be granted to a maximum of 5 days per school year at the request of a teacher for personal reasons, by arrangement with the principal and subject to the availability of a suitable teacher teaching on call or replacement teacher. Such leave availability is pro-rated for part year appointments. b. Such leave shall not be granted for reasons of earning money, apart from honoraria for education related activities. Nor shall such leave normally be granted as an attachment at Christmas, Spring or Summer break.
