Common use of Personal Leave with pay for Full Time Continuing Employees Clause in Contracts

Personal Leave with pay for Full Time Continuing Employees. Personal leave with pay may be granted to Employees to take time away from work for compassionate reasons, legal or specialist appointments and for days that qualify as religious holidays. Employees with the approval of their Manager may take up to five (5) Days per vacation year for such purposes. Requests for such leave shall be made ten (10) Days in advance where possible. Where ten (10) Days’ notice cannot reasonably be given the Employee will make the request as soon as practicably possible. Personal Leave must be used in blocks of time of at least one half (1/2) day or more. There shall be no carry-over of personal leave days into the next vacation year.
