Personal Lives. The private and personal life of any employee is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the District, except to the extent that such has a direct impact on that employee’s professional performance or is a violation of law.
Personal Lives. The private and personal life of faculty members is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the District except as to its impact on students, job performance, and effectiveness and provided there is not violation of conflict of interest regulations as specified in law.
Personal Lives. Certificated employees are entitled to full rights of citizenship and the exercise thereof, within the bounds of District Policies, rules and the Code of Professional Conduct, shall not be grounds for any disciplinary or discriminatory action unless such actions have a sufficient nexus to adversely impact the ability of the employee to be an effective employee in the District, or otherwise demonstrate acts of unprofessional conduct.
Personal Lives. The private and personal lives of faculty members are generally not within the appropriate concern of the District or administration. However, where it is proven that the teacher’s private or personal life impacts upon the teacher’s performance of his/her classroom duties or otherwise adversely affects the reputation and operation of the schools, such matters become a legitimate area of District concern.
Personal Lives. Faculty members' lives are not within the appropriate concern of the Board unless it can be demonstrated that their performance of their duties have been adversely affected.

The private and personal behaviors and beliefs of Employees 897 shall not be used by the District as the basis for adverse action against such 898 Employee(s) provided that such behaviors and beliefs do not interfere with the 899 performance of the Employee’s duties, or are not contrary to the Code of 900 Professional Conduct (WAC 180-87). 901
Personal Lives. Employees in this Unit are accountable for the performance of official duties and for compliance with standards of conduct for Law Enforcement Employees of the State of Kansas. Assuming adherence to these standards, Employees in this Unit shall have the right to conduct their private lives as they deem fit and further provided such conduct does not present a conflict with laws, regulations or policies of the Employer adopted thereunder
2.1 With respect to the Department of Corrections policy, the subject of which is Conflict of Interest and Other Employment, Section 4 below will control.
2.2 Any future Department of Corrections Policy that would impact the personal lives of Unit Employees and represents a conflict with the provisions in this article will be resolved in favor of this memorandum of agreement.
