Pets and Animals. You can only keep pets and other animals at the property if you have obtained our written permission first. We will not unreasonably withhold our permission in general needs accommodation although permission will only be granted to keep registered assistance dogs in Senior Living schemes. If you fail to seek our permission or permission is withheld and you continue to keep a pet or animal at the property then enforcement action may be taken against you for breach of this tenancy agreement. If permission is granted it will be on condition that: • In properties with communal areas pets must be confined to the owner’s home and must not be allowed to roam free (except for domestic cats provided they are not causing a nuisance) or be tethered in communal areas; • Pets must not be left unattended on patios or balconies of flats; Pets are not allowed to foul communal areas and any incidents must be cleared immediately and disposed of appropriately. • Pets in transit are to be carried, restrained by a leash or placed in an appropriate animal carrier; Dogs must always be kept on a leash when in the communal areas of the property and the surrounding estate. • Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets and appropriate insurance may be required as a condition of permission being granted. • No pet shall be allowed to cause any nuisance or create any unreasonable disturbance. If you breach any of the above conditions then permission may be withdrawn and enforcement action for breach of this tenancy agreement may be commenced.
