PHA remedies. 1. If the PHA determines that a breach has occurred, the PHA may exercise any of its rights or remedies under the HAP contract. 2. The PHA must notify the owner in writing of such determination. The notice by the PHA to the owner may require the owner to take corrective action (as verified by the PHA) by a time prescribed in the notice. 3. The PHA’s rights and remedies under the HAP contract include recovery of overpayments, termination or reduction of housing assistance payments, and termination of the HAP contract.
