Plain Language Development and Translation. Description Minimum Level of Performance Financial Consequences
Plain Language Development and Translation. 1. Contractor shall draft and edit the content for the documents and communications identified in section 2.2 and develop any other content as identified or requested by DEO. The content created by Contractor shall be in plain language that the public, including claimants, employers, and TPAs, can easily read, understand, and use. The goals for drafting the content in plain language are to:
a. Improve the public’s understanding of the Reemployment Assistance program’s communications.
b. Reduce the need for the public to seek clarification from DEO staff.
c. Improve public understanding of program requirements and thereby assist the public in complying with the requirements.
d. Improve public understanding of DEO forms and applications and thereby assist the public in completing them.
e. Reduce the number of errors that are made and thus the amount of time and effort that DEO and the public need to devote to correcting those errors.
2. Contractor shall:
a. Ensure the content is consistent with the provisions cited to in state and federal law, including but not limited to the Plain Writing Act of 2010.
