EXHIBIT O SCOPE OF WORK The City of Overland Park seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide design/build services for the design and construction of new play structures at three neighborhood park locations. The proposed structures will be located at Louisburg Square Park (90th & Xxxxxx); Empire Estates Park (99th & Xxx); Quivira Park (119th & Quivira). Proposal is for one composite structure or play feature grouping, and one swing structure at each park. Each composite structure shall be designed for ages 5 to 12, with partial emphasis on younger children (ages 5 to 6). The City shall provide level installation sites at each park location. Acceptable colors for the play structures shall be green and tan. Xxxxx is also acceptable for decks. LOCATION AREA* Louisburg Square, 90th & Xxxxxx 40’ x 60’ Empire Estates Park, 99th & Xxx 40’ x 60’ Quivira Park, 119th & Quivira 50’ x 90’ TOTAL * Maximum area the structures shall occupy, including fall zone. Required features: • Swings: Double post arch, 3 1/2” minimum diameter posts. Two swing bays (four swings) at Quivira, one swing bay (two swings) each at Louisburg and Empire Estates. Fall zone layout shall be for belt swings. Preferred features: • 42” wider decks • Slides originating from a 5’ or 6’ deck Not acceptable: • Roofs • Plastic coated chains • Bubble panels • Chain climbers • Single “T-post” swing structures • No metal slides will be considered • No galvanized swing posts General instructions: - Bidder will state the estimated delivery date - All equipment must meet the minimum standards of XXXXX/ASTM/CPSC requirements, as well as meeting the newest ADA standards (the number of upper- level play stations coordinated with the number of ground-level stations). - Provide both 2-D site drawings and 3-D color renderings. - Each vendor will submit not more than one (1) design per site. - Provide name and phone number of three (3) customers with comparable playground installations that are not more than three years old that the City may contact and inspect. These locations must be within the Kansas City metro areas. - Provide the names, addresses, and phone numbers of both the manufacturer and the local agent. - Provide copy of the manufacturer’s warranty. - Submit six (6) copies of each proposal. - There will be no personal presentations.
