A. Grantees and their relevant sub-grantees or subcontractors are prohibited from using grant funds directly or indirectly for political purposes, including lobbying, advocating for legislation, campaigning for, endorsing, contributing to, or otherwise supporting political candidates or parties, and voter registration campaigns. Grantees may use private, or non-System Agency money or contributions for political purposes but may not charge to, or be reimbursed from, System Agency contracts or grants for the costs of such activities.

Political Activities. Contractors are prohibited from using federal funds directly or indirectly for political purposes, including polling, lobbying or advocating for legislative programs or changes; campaigning for, endorsing, contributing to, or otherwise supporting political candidates or parties; and voter registration or get-out-the-vote campaigns. Generally, organizations or entities which receive federal funds by way of grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements do not lose their rights as organizations to use their own, private, non-federal resources for “political” activities because of or as a consequence of receiving such federal funds. These recipient organizations must thus use private or other non-federal money, receipts, contributions, or dues for their political activities, and may not charge off to or be reimbursed from federal contracts or grants for the costs of such activities.
Political Activities. Political activity of Contractor employees and officers are limited by the State Campaign Finances and Lobbying provisions of Chapter 42.17A RCW and the Federal Hatch Act, 5 USC 1501 - 1508. No funds may be used for working for or against ballot measures or for or against the candidacy of any person for public office.
Political Activities. The Association may distribute the organization's political positions through the same means provided for the distribution of other official organizational communications so long as that communication is clearly identified as the official position of the Association, provided that this paragraph will not apply to the use of the District's inter-school mail service, and said service will not be used to distribute material relating to the Association's political positions or material on behalf of EDPAC or any local political action committee.
Political Activities. Contractor shall in no instance expend funds or use resources derived from this Contract on any political activities.
Political Activities. None of the funds, materials, property or services provided directly or indirectly under this Contract shall be used for any partisan political activity, or to further the election or defeat of any candidate for public office by the Contractor’s employees and officers, as limited by the State Campaign Finances and Lobbying provisions of Chapter 42.17 RCW and the Federal Hatch Act, 5 USC 1501-1508.
Political Activities. The Board and the Association recognize the right of Unit II members to participate in political affairs in a manner afforded any other citizen, including the right to vote; the right to be an active member of a political party of their choice; and the right to campaign for and serve in public office, provided such activity is not conducted during duty hours or on school property.
Political Activities. (a) Employees shall not use District funds, services, supplies or equipment to urge the passage or defeat of any ballot measure or candidate, including but not limited to, any candidate for election to the District's Board of Trustees. This policy prohibits political activity during an employee's working hours, but shall not be construed to prohibit an employee from urging the support or defeat of a ballot measure or candidate during non-working time. This prohibition does not pertain to the Local's office that is maintained at the College.
(b) The following activities by an employee upon property under the jurisdiction of the District are specifically prohibited:
(1) Posting of political circulars or petitions except on that portion of designated College and Union bulletin boards set aside for that purpose.
(2) Use of the College mail and e-mail systems for the distribution of political material.
(c) Violation of any of the foregoing rules may result in disciplinary action.
Political Activities. CENTER shall comply with 24 CFR §570.207(a)(3) regarding political activities. CDBG funds shall not be used for lobbying or political patronage activities. CENTER further agrees that no funds provided, nor personnel employed under this Agreement, shall be in any way or to any extent be engaged in the conduct of political activities in violation of Chapter 15 of Title V, United States Code (Hatch Act).
Political Activities. No funds provided herein shall be used to urge any elector to vote for or against any candidate or proposition on an election ballot nor shall such funds be used to lobby for or against any proposition or matter having the effect of law being considered by the Legislature or any local governing authority. This provision shall not prevent the normal dissemination of factual information relative to a proposition or any election ballot or a proposition or matter having the effect of law being considered by the Legislature or any local governing authority. Contracts with individuals shall be exempt from this provision.
