Position Upgrade. Unit employees whose position is upgraded shall receive a wage increase of the difference between the two starting rates, but no less than the starting rate of the higher paying position. In the event there is no current starting wage for a position, the employer will promote the incumbent employee with an increase of $1.00 per hour until such time as a wage increase and starting rate has been negotiated.
Position Upgrade. If an employee has an interest in an upgrade they must submit the appropriate paperwork to the Human Resources Department. Once an employee job analysis questionnaire is completed and returned to the Human Resources Department, it will then be reviewed by the Department Head and rated by Human Resources. Once a determination is made it is then presented to the applicant by Human Resources and the Department Head within three weeks after the submission of the request. If the clerical employee disagrees with the decision, the Township will have a third party review the results. The third party will be another municipal human resource administrator or the personnel committee from the Conference of Western ▇▇▇▇▇. This process shall be addressed within thirty (30) days. The effected employee will be made aware as to the decision made in a timely manner.
