Common use of PROBATIONARY PERFORMANCE REPORTS Clause in Contracts

PROBATIONARY PERFORMANCE REPORTS. 36.5.1 It shall be the duty of each Department Head during the probationary period of each employee in her/his organization to investigate thoroughly the probationer's adjustment, performance and general acceptability to determine whether or not the probationer is fully qualified for permanent appointment. He/she shall be responsible for reports on the probationer's performance and conduct at the completion of every three (3) calendar months during the probationary period, and within ten days of the end of the probationary period, or more frequently if deemed desirable by the Department Head. Such reports will be reviewed with the probationary employee by the rater. The Department Head or his/her designee shall give a copy of the report to the probationary employee.‌‌‌ 36.5.2 The final probationary report on each probationary employee shall include the Department Head's recommendation to the City Manager either to retain or reject the probationer.
