PROCEDURE FOR IMPOSING SUSPENSION WITHOUT PAY. 1. Prior to suspension, the District shall give written notice to the unit member. This written notice of suspension shall be deemed sufficient if personally delivered or sent to the unit member by certified mail, return receipt requested, at least five (5) working days prior to the date when the suspension is proposed to be affected. 2. The contents of the written notice shall include, but need not be limited to, the following: a. A statement of the specific act and omissions upon which the suspension is based; b. A statement of the cause, or causes, for the action taken; c. If it is claimed that the unit member has violated a rule or regulation of the District, a statement of the rule or regulation; d. A statement of the suspension proposed, including beginning and ending date(s); e. A statement that the unit member has the right to participate in a pre- suspension conference and a proposed date, time, and place for such pre- suspension conference; f. A statement that, as the alternative to (e), the unit member may file a grievance with the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources at level
