Common use of Professional-Directed Changes Clause in Contracts

Professional-Directed Changes. A Professional, without the Owner's prior approval, may authorize or direct the General Contractor to make minor changes in the Work which are consistent with the intent of the Construction Documents and which do not involve a change in Project cost, time for construction, scope, or approved design elements, and the General Contractor shall promptly carry out such changes. Any such minor changes shall be implemented by written field order and executed by the General Contractor.
