In determining instruction appropriate to a student or students, teachers may draw from data and assessments other than standardized testing data. As a component of appropriate instruction, teachers also may allocate instructional time according to needs identified specifically for a particular student or students. 3. The number of district assessments that teachers are required to administer will be limited. Teachers can use their professional judgment to make adjustments regarding where best to focus assessment time and which assessment best addresses the needs of the students once the required district assessments are met. 4. When delivery of instruction generates positive student growth, it is appropriate to share methods and results with staff in professional development, staff meetings, or via professional development district-wide.
