PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION PLAN. 1) The Project Director (PD), ▇▇. ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇, will be responsible for all aspects of administering the camps; she will also serve as one of the camp instructors. ▇▇▇ has extensive experience in instruction and grant administration for elementary and middle school mathematics teacher professional development. ▇▇▇ has a doctorate in Instructional Technology, was a computer technology teacher for grades 1-6 for 4 years for Lubbock ISD, has middle school certification in mathematics and elementary education with nine years of experience that includes seven years of middle grade teaching, and has taught technology classes for education majors at the university level. ▇▇▇ was also the co-director and an instructor for the three previous TWC Coding Camp in 2019, 2021, and 2022. As the Project Director, ▇▇▇’▇ specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
a) complete and submit all reports;
b) oversee production and implementation of plans for instruction and organization of each camp;
c) recruit and select 60 middle school students;
d) recruit and oversee teaching assistant workers;
e) oversee and reconcile budgets on a monthly basis;
f) secure and order catering, rooms, vehicles for field trips, and all technology and materials to be used;
g) manage personnel issues;
h) liaise with partners;
i) serve as a co-instructor and oversee camps as they are in session;
j) oversee all required security measures;
k) organize and oversee follow-up activities; and
l) other duties as needed. Gee will devote 75% of one full summer month’s paid effort to the project for instructional activities in July 2023. Additionally, she will devote a significant amount of unpaid effort during the late fall/spring of 2022/2023 to administrative activities necessary to planning, administering, and reporting on the camps.

The Board will serve as the fiscal agent, maintain the website application, assist with teacher and employer recruitment and monitor the program and oversee the orientations. Employers agree to provide a liaison to the program, a supervisor to oversee the job shadowing experience, identify a contact who teachers can work with to schedule classroom speakers and field trips, and the employers agree to track time and attendance and provide answers for the teachers’ questions (help with their analysis and connecting activities worksheets). They also agree to evaluate and make suggestions about the program through email or at the wrap-up meeting. The ISDs have agreed to assist with recruitment, allow teachers to bring speakers into their classrooms, and to participate in employer tours. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Economic Development Corporation, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Development Alliance, Gainesville Economic Development Corporation, Bonham Economic Development Corporation, Whitesboro Economic & Industrial Development Corporation, and one private employer have already agreed to provide the cash match necessary to implement this program. Each EDC and private employer will contribute $500 per teacher they sponsor. Sherman and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will sponsor 10 each, Gainesville and Bonham will sponsor 4 each, Whitesboro 2, private employer 2.
