PROGRAM COORDINATOR’S DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. It is recognized that each of the College programs is unique, and the duties and responsibilities of the program coordinators, therefore, may differ slightly or may be carried out differently. The general duties and responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include any or all of the following: (a) The faculty duties and responsibilities outlined in this Agreement. (b) Overall responsibility to plan, coordinate, and instruct in the program. (c) Represent and act on behalf of the program at relevant meetings or events. (d) Research and develop an appropriate curriculum to achieve program goals. (e) Act as liaison with and facilitate communication between faculty, between the program and other programs, the ▇▇▇▇ of Academics and the College. (f) Assess program staffing requirements, prepare personnel forecasts, interview all teaching candidates and make recommendations for hiring faculty to College management. (g) Monitor and assess academic instruction and provide feedback to instructors. (h) Assess and coordinate all instructional materials to be used for the program. (i) Assist or advise students regarding the program and/or electives required. (j) Assist with student projects for Open House and other special events. (k) Coordinate student projects, define project criteria for grading, review examination materials, maintain class/student records for all courses. (l) Assess all student material requirements for the courses, prepare budget requirements and make recommendations to College management for departmental budgets. (m) Provide administrative assistance to faculty in the program, by being aware of, following, and assisting program faculty to follow administrative procedures in the program and the College.
