Project Initiation and Communication. 1.1 The Consultant will attend a meeting at the Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka to meet with the Bureau of Local Projects. The intent of the meeting is to discuss the anticipated project schedule and the potential of a payment plan for the County to reimburse the State for the construction of the project. This meeting is “no cost” to the County. 1.2 The Consultant will also schedule a meeting in the field with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism and the US Army Corps of Engineers to review possible permitting and design issues that could impact the design of the project. This meeting is “no cost” to the County. 1.3 The Consultant will prepare a Project Work Plan (PWP) that covers the methodology, design criteria, and other pertinent information that will affect the project design and schedule.
