Common use of Property Damage Reimbursement Clause in Contracts

Property Damage Reimbursement. At the discretion of the Chief of Police, the City shall repair or replace an officer’s personal property damaged or destroyed in the line of duty up to a maximum of $350 per item. No payment shall be made for damage due to the negligent action or inaction of the officer. Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, payment to cover the cost of a Sig Xxxxx .40 caliber handgun shall be made by the City in the case of damage to or the loss of an officer’s duty weapon.
