Provider Medical Director. 1. Contractor shall provide a physician licensed by the State of California, experienced in emergency medical services, to oversee its clinical services. 2. This individual must be experienced in emergency medicine, and preferably Board Certified in Emergency Medicine . 3. This individual shall facilitate the procurement of, be responsible for, and oversee all pharmaceuticals including but not limited to controlled substances used by the Contractor in delivering service. 4. Contractor understands that the Provider Medical Director is distinct from, and does not have the powers or authority of, the Medical Director of MVEMSA, as defined in California Health and Safety Code section 1797.202.
