Public Hearing for Designation of Zone. A resolution designating a reinvestment zone may not be adopted until the governing body has held a public hearing at which interested persons are entitled to speak and present evidence for or against the designation. Notice of the hearing shall be published at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing in a newspaper having general circulation in the eligible jurisdiction. The presiding officers of other eligible jurisdictions shall be notified in writing at least (7) days prior to the hearing.
