Common use of Public liability cover Clause in Contracts

Public liability cover. 2.1.1 The insurer agrees to indemnify the insured for all sums which the insured may become legally liable to pay as compensation including claimant costs and expenses in respect of: a) accidental Bodily Injury to any person other than an Employee; b) accidental Damage; c) charges of wrongful arrest or malicious prosecution brought against the Insured arising out of any allegation of shoplifting at the insured’s Premises; occurring during the Period of Insurance within the Territorial Limits in connection with the Business. 2.1.2 The Insurer will also pay the insured’s costs and expenses incurred with the insurers prior written consent: a) in defence of any claims; b) for representation at any coroners inquest in respect of any death; which may be the subject of indemnity under this Section. For the purposes of this Section (including any applicable Limit of Indemnity) all claims arising out of one occurrence or a series of occurrences consequent upon or attributable to one source or original cause will be deemed to be a single claim and single occurrence.
