Common use of Public School Status Clause in Contracts

Public School Status. ‌ The School shall be deemed a public, common school, and local education agency, subject to all Applicable Law, including but not limited to health and safety, parents’ rights, civil rights, nondiscrimination laws, public records laws, student assessment, assessment administration, data collection, reporting, and remediation requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, those imposed under chapter 28A.642 RCW (discrimination prohibition); chapter 28A.640 RCW (sexual equality); the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (20 U.S.C. Sec. 1401 et seq.); the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Sec. 1232g), and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (20 U.S.C. Sec. 6301 et seq.).
