Common use of Pumping Stations Clause in Contracts

Pumping Stations. Pumping station design flow shall be established during final design, as the total of all sewage collected within the drainage basin or basins that the station serves, with an appropriate peaking factor applied corresponding to the size of the drainage area. Pumping stations shall be designed and constructed with adequate capacity to pump the design flow with one pump out of service. If the station contains pumping equipment of more than one size, this requirement shall apply with one of the largest units out of service.
