Common use of Purchase of Assigned Duty Firearm (Pistol) Clause in Contracts

Purchase of Assigned Duty Firearm (Pistol). In accordance with Federal and State laws, a peace officer who has been employed with the City of North Las Vegas as a commissioned peace officer for at least fifteen (15) years and who is approved for retirement from service in good standing may be given the opportunity to purchase their first issued assigned duty sidearm (pistol). The purchase price will be Two-Hundred Dollars ($200.00). If the employee’s pistol is being retained as evidence, it will not be sold until such time as it becomes cleared for release by the Department and the City Attorney’s office.
