Common use of Purchase or Establishment of New Business, Business Unit or Location Clause in Contracts

Purchase or Establishment of New Business, Business Unit or Location. In the event that, after the Effective Date, the Friendship Entities purchase or establish a new business, business unit or location related to the furnishing of items or services that may be reimbursed by Federal health care programs, the Friendship Entities shall notify OIG at least 30 days prior to such purchase or the operation of the new business, business unit or location. This notification shall include the address of the new business, business unit or location, phone number, fax number, the location’s Medicare and state Medicaid program provider number and/or supplier number(s) and the name and address of each Medicare and state Medicaid program contractor to which the Friendship Entities currently submit claims. Each new business, business unit or location and all Covered Persons at each new business, business unit or location shall be subject to the applicable requirements of this CIA, unless otherwise determined and agreed to in writing by the OIG.
