Purpose & Background. Purpose: The parties agree that the purposes of this Agreement are: 1.1 To promote and provide harmonious relations, cooperation and understanding between the City and the employees covered herein, 1.2 To provide an orderly and equitable means of resolving differences which may arise under this Agreement, and 1.3 To set forth the full agreements of the parties reached as a result of meeting and conferring in good faith regarding matters within the scope of representation for employees represented by the Association.

The School is an organization authorized by the Ohio Department of Education to utilize the services of an information technology center. The School is a “User Entity” of Meta.1 All information technology centers must maintain fully executed contractual agreements with their user entities. In exchange for the agreements outlined herein and other good and valuable consideration the Parties agree as follows:
Purpose & Background. The common goal for this Agreement is to provide Institution’s graduates and employees with flexible, personalized learning pathways to higher education and professional development (degrees, certificates, and credentials) through WGU’s innovative online university and applicable WGU affiliates. This Agreement is further intended to formalize the transfer of applicable credits between the Parties via transfer and/or reverse transfer articulation pathways. WGU is a private, non-profit, accredited university offering degrees and other educational opportunities. WGU’s programs are designed to fit into busy work and home schedules and create pathways to opportunity.
Purpose & Background. NCEM is working with local governments and organizations to provide non-congregate sheltering statewide for persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who have been exposed to COVID-19 and do not have a safe place to isolate or quarantine, as well as individuals who are high-risk and need a safe place to social distance. The non-congregate sheltering (NCS) program is a collaborative effort between the State, counties, and local partners to secure hotel and motel rooms (or other suitable non-congregate shelter locations like dormitories), as well as essential wrap around services, for individuals with no other safe place to quarantine, isolate, or social distance due to COVID-19. The purpose of this agreement is to set forth the terms by which NCEM and Organization will cooperate in the disaster recovery and sheltering of citizens for the COVID-19 event, and enhance cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration between any potential stakeholders that would aid in the goal of this agreement.

Purpose & Background. New Markets Tax Credits: This building/Project was financed in part with a Federal subsidy called New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC). The NMTC Program was established by Congress in 2000 to spur new or increased investments into operating businesses and real estate projects located in low-income communities. Communities benefit from the jobs associated with these investments, as well as greater access to public facilities, goods, and services. In addition, as the communities develop, they become even more attractive to investors, spurring further investments and revitalization. As a tenant of this Project, you can help the Project achieve the intended outcomes and community benefits described above. Your cooperation will help demonstrate the impact of the NMTC program, thereby allowing the program to continue so that it can help finance other important projects across the U.S. You can help in the following ways:
Purpose & Background. On February 12, 2013, the Board authorized the subcontracting of all grounds maintenance services of the District and authorized the initiation of the competitive solicitation process for selection of a private vendor or vendors to perform all such services on July 1, 2013. The Superintendent has reserved the authority to discontinue the competitive solicitation process and not implement the subcontracting decision of the Board if this RFP does not result in substantial long-term cost savings to the District. A copy of the presentation made by District staff to the Board at the February 12, 2013 Board meeting, may be found on the financial services division webpage on the district website under the “Presentations-Workshops” menu. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified, responsible contractor(s) who normally have knowledge and experience of and are currently engaged in the provision of services for grounds maintenance. Services shall be provided for all Volusia County school sites, as well as all other District support facilities for a five (5) year period with options for renewal as specified herein. This shall include all management, staff training, chemicals, fertilizers, and all equipment necessary to meet this standard. All grounds maintenance staff members who were employed by the District through June 30, 2013 shall: 1) be retained by the awarded proposer if that is the employees’ desire at the time of transition and afforded a retirement benefit as described in this RFP; 2) and have a minimum rating of “meets expectations” on their most recent evaluation. At the time of release of this RFP, there are approximately 30 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees of the District that fall within the job classification who perform grounds maintenance services for the District. Where displaced employees of the District are hired, every reasonable effort shall be made to keep those employees at their present location or at a location reasonably near their place of residence.
