Purposes of Professional Development. 5.4.1.1 The purposes of professional development are (a) to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the programs and services of the College, and (b) to keep an employee up-to-date in instructional processes and skills, and subject matter as appropriate to his/her position at the College.
