Common use of Rate After Promotion Clause in Contracts

Rate After Promotion. Paraprofessionals who are promoted to another paraprofessional position will be placed on that salary schedule on the step with a salary that is higher than the salary he/she would have received without the promotion. An employee who in the work year during which the promotion took place actually worked in the aggregate (or was paid for) one-quarter (1/4) or more of the hours on both the new promotional position and the former position added together will advance to the next step at the beginning of September next following such promotion.
