Benefit Days Sample Clauses
The 'Benefit Days' clause defines the specific days on which an individual is entitled to receive certain benefits, such as paid leave, holidays, or other compensatory time off. Typically, this clause outlines the types of days that qualify, such as public holidays, vacation days, or sick days, and may specify how these days are accrued or used within a given period. Its core practical function is to provide clarity and structure regarding benefit entitlements, ensuring both parties understand when benefits apply and reducing the potential for disputes over time off.
Benefit Days. A. Paraprofessionals whose regular work week is less than 12 hours shall not be eligible for benefit days. The special provisions of Section 4.3 supersede any contrary provision in Section 4.1 or 4.2.
B. FMLA benefits will apply to members of the bargaining unit who are regularly scheduled to work 0.5 FTE or greater. Leave time granted hereunder will be credited against any federal or state requirements such as the federal Family and Medical Leave Act.
Benefit Days. A. Banked days will be converted to hours based on one (1) day equals eight (8) hours.
B. Benefit days will be earned based upon one (1) day equals eight (8) hours. Benefit Days. Full-time Retiree Teachers will receive an annual allotment of benefit days pursuant to the terms of the CBA in accordance with their years of service (i.e., inclusive of longevity days, if applicable). Full-time Retiree Teachers may roll over unused days for future use during SY2023-24, or beyond if the legislation is extended, but such unused days are not eligible for pension service credit. Except as required by law, Retiree Teachers are not eligible for leaves.
