Common use of Real Property Law Section 254 Clause in Contracts

Real Property Law Section 254. The provisions of subsection 4 of Section 254 of the Real Property Law of New York covering the insurance of buildings against loss by fire that are inconsistent with the provisions of this Instrument shall not apply to the terms of this Instrument. Nothing contained herein, except for the immediately preceding sentence, shall be construed as depriving Lender of any right or advantage available under Section 254 of the Real Property Law of the State of New York, and all covenants herein that differ therefrom shall be construed as conferring additional and not substitute rights and advantages.
