Common use of Receipt of Notices Clause in Contracts

Receipt of Notices. Any notice, instruction or other communication sent or given by us will be deemed to have been duly sent or given upon the earlier of: 27.2.1. actual receipt by you; or 27.2.2. the time specified below, as applicable: 27.2.3. if delivered in person, when left at your last known home or work address; 27.2.4. if sent or given by leaving a message on a telephone answering machine message or voice mail system, one hour after the message was so left; 27.2.5. if sent or given by first class post or overnight courier, in the ordinary course of the post or such overnight courier and in any event on the next day (or the third day in the case of international air mail) after posting (excluding Sundays and public holidays); and 27.2.6. if sent or given by e-mail, one hour after sending, provided no “not sent” or “not received” message is received from the relevant e-mail provider. 27.2.7. Any notice, instruction or other communication sent or given by you will be deemed to have been duly sent or given upon actual receipt by us.
