Day Veterans’ Day President’s Day Thanksgiving Day Patriot’s Day Day after Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Christmas Day Independence Day One-half day before Christmas Indigenous People’s Day Eligible Employees shall receive one (1) day’s pay (or one-half (1/2) day, if applicable) for each of the holidays listed above on which they perform no work. Whenever any of the holidays listed above falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday. Recognized and Observed. 20.1.1 The following days shall be recognized and observed as paid holidays for Jail Bureau members: New Year’s Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Lincoln’s Birthday Washington’s Birthday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day‌‌‌‌‌ Columbus Day Election Day Veteran’s Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day‌‌‌‌ And a floating holiday which may be taken at a time mutually agreed to between the employee and the Sheriff or his designee. To receive a floating holiday during any year, the employee must have been hired prior to pay period 21 of that year. If the employee does not utilize the floating holiday by December 1 of each year, such floating holiday shall be included for payment pursuant to Section 20.1.6 of the collective bargaining agreement. The above days shall be recognized and observed as paid holidays for the Civil Bureau with the following exceptions: Lincoln’s Birthday shall not be included; The Friday following Thanksgiving shall be added.
Recognized and Observed. Holidays The following days shall be 6 recognized and observed as paid holidays, or any day declared by the Governor or 7 the President of the United States for all employees in the public and private 8 sectors: 9 • New Year's Day (January 1st) 10 • Rev Xx. The provisions 22 governing use of personal holidays in Section 6.B will apply. 23 • Four (4) hours of flexible holiday time to be used between 24 Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, or for any religious holiday 25 during the fiscal year, provided the employee gives two (2) 26 weeks notice and has the consent of his/her supervisor . If the 27 supervisor determines that holiday usage/requested is 28 impractical, the employee will be credited with four (4) hours of 29 personal holiday time, per Section 6 below.

Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied. If the use of the holiday is denied during the week of the employee’s birthday, it may be rescheduled as a vacation day in accordance with the provisions of Article 7, Section 3. The week of the employee’s birthday is defined from Sunday through Saturday of the calendar week wherein his/her birthday falls. An eligible employee shall receive eight (8) hours at his/her regular straight-time pay for each of the holidays listed above. Should an employee be called to work on a holiday, he shall receive, in addition, time and one-half his regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked outside his normal working hours. Whenever any of the holidays listed above fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as the holiday. Whenever any of the holidays listed about fall on Sunday, the succeeding Monday will be observed as the holiday.

  • Special Rules Regarding Related Entities and Branches That Are Nonparticipating Financial Institutions If a Finnish Financial Institution, that otherwise meets the requirements described in paragraph 1 of this Article or is described in paragraph 3 or 4 of this Article, has a Related Entity or branch that operates in a jurisdiction that prevents such Related Entity or branch from fulfilling the requirements of a participating FFI or deemed-compliant FFI for purposes of section 1471 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code or has a Related Entity or branch that is treated as a Nonparticipating Financial Institution solely due to the expiration of the transitional rule for limited FFIs and limited branches under relevant U.S. Treasury Regulations, such Finnish Financial Institution shall continue to be in compliance with the terms of this Agreement and shall continue to be treated as a deemed- compliant FFI or exempt beneficial owner, as appropriate, for purposes of section 1471 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, provided that:
