Records held by Essex County Council. Essex County Council must keep a record on each xxxxxx carer, which will contain the following information: References and information obtained prior to your approval The report which was completed with you during your assessment and presented to the Fostering Panel at the stage of recommending your approval as xxxxxx carers Any recommendations from the Fostering Panel. A copy of this Agreement and Notice of Approval Copies of your Personal Development Plans, a training and development record and other relevant training documents. Records of supervisory visits/contacts made by your supervising social worker, with you or with others, in relation to your fostering activities Copies of your annual reviews as xxxxxx carers Details of any children placed with you Any information relating to your fostering and any information relating to ending your services with this Council. These records belong to Essex County Council and may be seen by either social work employees of the County Council or any Children’s Guardian appointed by the Court to act on behalf of the child. The General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) 2018 gives the Xxxxxx Carer(s) specific rights of access to information held by Essex County Council. A request can be made to the Supervising Social Worker, and arrangements to view the information should be made within one month Under the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) the Xxxxxx Carer(s) may request a copy of paper and computerised records (rather than just access to the information). A Data Protection Act Subject Access Request must be made by the Xxxxxx Carer(s) in writing to the Transparency Team. A copy will be provided within one month of receipt of the letter to the Transparency Team. This time frame can be extended by up to a further 2 months in complex requests. . Information relating to third party individuals may be withheld, by Essex County Council, where there is any duty of confidentiality owed to those individuals or where information from them was provided in confidence. This may include references received about the Xxxxxx Carer(s). Regulation Checks The Xxxxxx Carer(s) agree to co-operate with Essex County Council in its duty to carry out regulatory checks. This includes: Attending the Annual Review of approval (Household review). A minimum of one unannounced visit to the fostering household, by a Supervising Social Worker The annual health and safety check. DBS checks, every three years. A medical examination (...
