Common use of Redistributable Code License Grant Clause in Contracts

Redistributable Code License Grant. In addition to the rights granted in Section 19.4.A, Symantec grants to You a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide royalty-free license to reproduce and distribute the Veritas File System API Library (the “API Library”) that is included with the SDK, provided that the API Library is compiled in binary or object code form and reproduced and distributed only in conjunction with and as a part of an Application developed by You that adds significant and primary functionality to the SDK. If You redistribute the API Library, You agree: 1. If the Application is distributed outside of Your organization or is in any way provided to any third party, to distribute the Application containing the API Library pursuant to an end-user license agreement (which may be “break the seal,” “click wrap,” or signed), with terms no less protective than those contained in this License Agreement; 2. To indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Symantec from and against any claims or lawsuits, including attorney’s fees, that arise or result from the use or distribution of the Application; and 6. That Symantec reserves all rights not expressly granted.
