REDUCTION OR REJECTION OF FEES. 1. The contracting party may reject (parts of) the fees if they do not fulfil the conditions set out in Article 4. The contracting party may reduce the fee if the expert is in breach of any of their other obligations under the Contract (including the obligations set out in the Code of Conduct). 2. The contracting party must formally notify the expert of its intention, include the reasons why, and invite him/her to submit any observations within 30 days of receiving notification. If the contracting party does not accept these observations, it will formally notify confirmation of the rejection or reduction.
