Common use of Referral of Investigation Clause in Contracts

Referral of Investigation. As part of the greater University community, the Residence Contract and conduct process may be superseded by other University policies. Incidents that occur in residence may be beyond the scope of the Residence Contract and may require follow up outside of Residence Services. In these circumstances, an incident and a resident’s conduct file may be: • Investigated under the University’s Non-Academic Misconduct Policy (xxxxx://xxx.xxxx.xx/universitysecretary/assets/docs/policies/AC1300.pdf), and/or referred to alternative University discipline procedures, and/or • Investigated under the University’s Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response Policy (xxxxx://xxx.xxxx.xx/universitysecretary/assets/docs/policies/GV0245.pdf), and/or • Investigated under any other applicable policy of the University, and/or • Referred to the University’s Human Rights & Equity office, and/or • Referred to Campus Security Services, the Saanich Police Department or other law enforcement agencies.
