Reinsurance Programs Clause Samples
The Reinsurance Programs clause defines the terms under which an insurer may transfer portions of its risk to other insurance companies, known as reinsurers. This clause typically outlines the types of reinsurance arrangements permitted, such as quota share or excess of loss, and may specify requirements for the financial strength or approval of the reinsurers involved. Its core practical function is to allow the insurer to manage and mitigate its exposure to large or catastrophic losses, thereby promoting financial stability and protecting policyholders.
