Common use of Release of Members Clause in Contracts

Release of Members. A member who serves as a Lodge Representative in the Labor Relations Committee shall be released with pay to attend a Labor Relations meeting if the meeting time coincides with the member's duty time. Where practicable, a member whose scheduled duty hours do not coincide with the meeting time may have his or her duty hours adjusted so that the member may attend the meeting in full pay. Pay for a member's attendance at a Labor Relations meeting will be at the member's straight time rate.

Where practicable, a A member whose scheduled duty hours do not coincide with the monthly meeting time may have shall be compensated at his or her duty hours adjusted so that the member may attend the meeting in full pay. Pay for a member's attendance at a Labor Relations meeting will be at the member's straight time rate, through either straight time pay or through hour for hour compensatory time, for attendance at the monthly meeting. Not more than one meeting per month shall be compensated in this fashion.
