Common use of Relief through the Chain of Command Clause in Contracts

Relief through the Chain of Command. The Union or any employee covered by this Agreement having a matter which is felt to be a grievance shall make a reasonable effort to resolve the matter through the appropriate chain of command via telephone, email or face to face meetings. In the event the matter is not resolved through the Chain of Command, the employee may submit a grievance to the Union Grievance Committee.
