Field Training Officer (FTO. Troopers assigned as a FTO will be compensated an additional ten percent (10%) of their regular rate of pay for all hours worked as a FTO. Sergeants will be compensated an additional five percent (5%) of their regular rate of pay for all hours worked as a FTO supervisor.
Field Training Officer (FTO. While an officer is assigned to FTO duties by the Chief of Police, they will be compensated one additional pay range.
Field Training Officer (FTO. The Fire Chief shall have the authority to establish an FTO program and to set an amount for FTO incentive pay during the term of this agreement.
Field Training Officer (FTO. While assigned to perform FTO duties FTOs shall receive a four percent (4%) differential of base pay. Payment of this differential will be for the length of the program, including any preparation time and final documentation of the trainee’s performance. This time can be extended at the approval of the local State Director.
Field Training Officer (FTO. While assigned to perform FTO duties up to three (3) FTOs shall receive a two and one-half percent (2.5%) differential. Payment of this differential will be for up to a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks per trainee, including any preparation time and final documentation of the trainee’s performance. This sixteen (16) weeks can be extended at the approval of the local State Director.
Field Training Officer (FTO a. The Police Department has established a program for selection of Field Training Officers. Field Training Officers and the Field Training Program Supervisor shall receive additional compensation amounting to two and one-half percent (2.5%) of their base hourly pay rate while assigned to the Patrol Division and shall receive an additional two and one-half percent (2.5%) while engaged in training of new Police Officers and Community Service Officers. Shift assignment will be at the discretion of the Chief of Police and based upon the needs of the Department. All other sworn personnel assigned as Field Training Officers will be paid five percent (5%) above their base hourly pay rate while engaged in training of new Police Officers and Community Service Officers.
b. Non-sworn personnel may be formally assigned, in writing, to train employees in their new job classifications. For actual hours spent training this new employee, during the specified training period, the assigned trainer will be paid five percent (5%) above their base hourly pay rate.
c. Employees shall be appointed to a three-year term beginning July 1, 2014 and may be extended on an annual basis by mutual agreement between the department and the employee.
Field Training Officer (FTO. There shall be a minimum of 6 Field Training Officers. When assigned as an FTO, a Police Officer shall receive assignment pay equal to 5.5% of his or her base salary.
Field Training Officer (FTO. 1. The FTO assignment shall be made solely at the discretion of the Chief of Police or designee.
2. The FTO assignment shall include completion of a Daily Observation Report (DOR) of each Officer being trained.
3. The FTO shall be compensated for all hours worked per the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
4. Due to the additional duties and responsibilities incurred, each FTO shall be compensated with one (1) hour of compensatory time for each DOR completed and submitted.
Field Training Officer (FTO. Due to the importance of having qualified field training officers, the Sheriff agrees that all officers to be used as a Field Training Officer must be qualified. The Sheriff will require that any officer used as a Field Training Officer have successfully completed such training as may be appropriate prior to being used as a Field Training Officer. A bargaining unit members appointed as a Field Training Officer shall not schedule consecutive days of leave during a period of appointment without the prior authorization of the Sheriff or designee. Field Training Officers shall be appointed by the Sheriff consistent with the procedures utilized for other appointments within the Office. A bargaining unit member assigned as a Field Training Officer shall be compensated $0.20 per hour in addition to the then current regular hourly pay rate for each hour of training or matters specific to the duties of a training officer.
