Remediation. Prior to initiating formal disciplinary action pursuant to Article 17.05, the Employer may attempt to resolve matters of discipline informally. However, this shall not restrict the right of the Employer to consult with or otherwise counsel faculty members regarding their conduct. The faculty member shall be given the opportunity to have a Union representative present at any meeting related to the informal resolution of a dispute that could lead to discipline.
