Common use of Repairs - your responsibilities Clause in Contracts

Repairs - your responsibilities. Not all repairs are the Council’s responsibility. If the repair is your responsibility, we will give you the opportunity to carry out the repair yourself (to a set standard and within a reasonable time) or pay us to complete the repair for you. You must allow access to the property for inspection and/or repair. If you are the victim of criminal damage to any part of your home, you must report the matter to the Police and get a crime reference number. We will carry out the repair at no charge to you if we are satisfied that the damage was not caused by you, for example vandalism. If we are not satisfied, we will charge you for the cost of the repairs.
