Common use of Replacement of Arbitrators Clause in Contracts

Replacement of Arbitrators. If in an arbitration proceeding under this Chapter, the original panel, or some of its members, are unable to participate, withdraw, or need to be replaced because they do not comply with the requirements of the Code of Conduct set out in Annex XXI to this Agreement, the procedure set out in Article 249 of this Agreement shall apply. The time-limit for the notification of the arbitration panel ruling shall be extended by 20 days with the exception of the urgent disputes referred to in paragraph 7 of Article 249, for which the time-limit shall be extended by five days.
