Requests for Professional Improvement Leave. 1. The Department head or designee shall develop procedures for the approval of Professional Improvement Leave. 2. Department directive 341 dated July 1, 1997, shall remain in effect to the extent it deals with negotiable terms and conditions of employment. The training and selection committee shall include one member of the bargaining unit. 3. Professional Improvement Leave may not be used for the purpose of attending college courses.
