Common use of Required Appearances Clause in Contracts

Required Appearances. Whenever any faculty member is required by the College to appear before the President, Vice President, Board, or any committee or member thereof in a meeting concerning any matter which could directly and adversely affect the continuation of that employee in their position or the salary pertaining thereto, they shall be given prior written notice of the reasons for such meeting or interview and shall be entitled to have an Association representative present to advise them and represent them during such meeting or interview. Routine interaction and evaluation meetings between a College administrator and a member of the faculty are not subject to the above Section.
